On Friday, I went to St. James’ Hospital to get all of the blood in my body taken. Nine vials to be exact. So not all my blood of course!
I am not exaggerating when I say it took months to prepare. In the end, I had to be encouraged by three grown men in a great big hug of support. My dad is a rock anyway, but he was a mountain that day!
I am floating ever since, safe in the knowledge that my epilepsy meds can finally get adjusted. And that the next time I need bloods, I can do it!
Thanks to the St James’ phlebotomy department!
