AsIAm may change these terms from time to time and so you should check these terms regularly. Your continued use of this website will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should cease using this website.

General Terms & Conditions

Definitions
• ‘AsIAm’, and ‘we’ means AsIAm – Autism Spectrum Information Advice and Meeting Point Ltd., and includes any person or organisation involved in any part of the design, development, response-handling, marketing, promotion or other similar aspects of this site;
• ‘AsIAm.ie’ means the organisation’s website;
• ‘User’ or ‘Users’ or ‘you’ or ‘your’ refers to any person or persons viewing or interacting with this site;
• ‘Content’ refers to any text, video, photograph or other image presented on this site to Users by either AsIAm or other Users, and ‘your Content’ is Content that you upload as submissions to our News and Blogs section or other parts of AsIAm.ie;
• 'Link’ or ‘links’ means internet hyperlinks and ‘linked’ is to be construed accordingly.

Content Contributions

Submitting content
Users are actively encouraged to blog for AsIAm.ie, sharing their experiences and opinions about all things autism. These submissions may be written in the form of blogs, or visual by the way of podcasts. Submission guidelines are available on site.

Removing Content
If you have submitted content for AsIAm in the past and would like for it to be removed from our website, we will, as a courtesy, honour your request.

Email info@asiam.ie, explaining your request and we will try to remove it within three working days. We will then notify you as soon as it is deleted by email.

Exceptions will be made to this courtesy if we feel that a submission is in gross violation of our guidelines. Violations include (but are not limited to) direct threats against a person or group of people, libelling and the inclusion of provocative sexual images. We will act accordingly in such a scenario and pass the content, as well as its contributor(s)’s contact information, onto the appropriate authorities if necessary.

Private information
AsIAm never share your contact details with another party, third or otherwise.The only instance where your details maybe used by a product outside of AsIAm.ie itself is in our mailing list service. We will never automatically add you to this list. You will always have to provide opt-in consent to be mailed and can be removed at anytime by emailing newsletter@asiam.ie or just clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of your email newsletter.

Online map & services directory

Purpose
AsIAm.ie’s online map of Ireland intends to provide Users with a clear and comprehensive bank of practical resources and services to make use of in their local communities. The map details a series of autism support groups, educational resources, and clinical services available across the island.

Submitting details
Organisations and services across the island are encouraged to submit their respective details on to AsIAm via email at map@asiam.ie. Simply include a high resolution image of your logo, your present office address and contact information.

Updating & removing details
If you wish to amend the details you have already provided AsIAm, or would like to remove them altogether, email map@asiam.ie.

Vacancies & Recruitment

Equal Opportunities policy and monitoring
AsIAm is committed to equal opportunities at all stages of recruitment and selection. We nonetheless reserve the right to practice positive discrimination as set out by the Employment Equality Act, 1998.

Reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process will be made to ensure that no applicant is disadvantaged because of their disability.

We encourage you to complete the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form as part of your application. This form assists us in monitoring who is applying for employment with us, our adherence to equal opportunities best practice and our progress towards identifying any barriers to diversity among our workforce. This form will be separated from your application on receipt and during the recruitment process, but if you are subsequently employed by us, then we will retain it on your personal file unless you ask us to remove it.
