It is a wonderful thing to be seen and understood. Through our work, AsIAm hopes to build connections between our community members. As you know, Autism is experienced in a variety of ways by different people. Autistic people come from all walks of life and have different strengths, interests and support needs. Autistic people may exist within multiple identities such as gender, sexuality and race. Furthermore, some Autistic may have co-occurring conditions or disabilities and therefore perceive Autism differently to other Autistic community members. All Autistic perspectives are valuable and our community members should have their voices heard.
This is a space to hear our voices and stories which showcase the diversity of autistic people in Ireland.
